2011.343.1.1Description
A cabinet card studio portrait of a young man by Sunbeam Art Studio, Los Angeles, ca. 1890s. Shown from the knees up, the man, appearing to be in his early twenties, wears a black three-piece suit, white shirt, and white necktie. A thick watch chain is attached to his vest. The clean-shaven man rests his right hand on a piece of statuary. His hair is curled quite significantly in the front, as well. His darker skin and facial features are suggestive of a Latino subject, though there is no identifying inscription. With fingerprint marks, soiling creases and edge abrasion, all on the matte, and one pinhead size stain on the image, the overall condition is good.Lexicon
