Description
A cabinet card studio portrait of an elderly woman, Frank G. Schumacher, Los Angeles, ca. 1890s. The woman is probably in her late fifties or early sixties. She sits on an ornately carved side chair and wears a dark outfit with a long sleeved blouse with puffed sleeves and a fabric skirt. Her hair is pulled up tightly and she has her hands folded on her lap. Schumacher's cartouche is at the bottom and an elaborately decorative printed cartouche is on the reverse along with an ink inscription reading "Unknown." With mount curvature and slight soiling and abrasions, the condition is good.
