Description

A cabinet card studio portrait of Mrs. Weaver Jackson, Theodore Marceau, Los Angeles, probably the late 1890s. The subject is shown in an upper torso and head shot and wears a dress with an elaborately fringed collar and shoulder piece, a hat with floral pieces and what appears to be white feathers. She also holds a bunch of roses at the front. At the lower right of the image and onto the mat is the ink inscription, "Sincerely, Mrs. Weaver Jackson." With a loss at the bottom of the matte, which also has much soiling, staining and rubbing and some soiling and staining to the image, the condition is fair.
