Description
A cabinet card studio portrait photograph of a man, James D. Westervelt, Los Angeles, ca. 1900. The image shows a man in what appears to be his fifties, with graying hair and a thick mustache and beard that is also mainly gray. He wears a dark suit, white shirt and a necktie and looks slightly to the right of the camera. There is an inscription on the back merely reading, "My father's brother." There is some significant spotting throughout the image due to oxidation, some soiling and edge abrasion, so the condition is fair.
