A cabinet card photograph, view of Playa del Rey, ca. 1900. An oval shaped photographed pasted onto a grey board. The photograph shows a broad view of the marsh or lagoon. There is a woman standing on the sand shore looking out to the water. In the water are several rowboats clustered together. The opposite side of the shore is lined with palm trees. To the right is a large residential building on a hill. To the left is a three story building with spires at the corners, most likely a hotel or resort. The location is inscribed in ink on the reverse. There is loss at the top right corner of the board, and heavy fading. It is in fair condition.
