Description
A cabinet card photograph, a streetcar trolley in commercial area of Los Angeles, ca. 1890. The streetcar is on the tracks, in the middle of a street. It advertises Frank, Guy & Co dry goods on Spring Street at the top of the streetcar. Several passengers are seated on its rows of benches. The streetcar traveld along Downey Ave, Main Street, Broadway and Grand Ave. Behind it is the 7th Regiment Armory building, E. W. Jones. In it are a fishing, semi tropic fruit, dairy, flowers stores. To the far right is a business, W. E. Coons & Co. With moderate warping to the cardboard mount, fading and minor edge abrasion.
