Description
A cabinet photograph, interior of a Pasadena residence, ca. 1890. Photograph by Jarvis' Gallery, 29 E. Colorado St., Pasadena. The photography studio specialized in interior and exterior work along with excursions. View of the interior of a parlor or living room. At the center of a built in wooden wall shelves is an open, brick fireplace. There are books on the shelves to both sides of the fireplace, framed cabinet photographs on top of the mantel. A bench seat on the left wall, side table, wall mirror and rocking chair furnish the space. The photographer's information is on the front and reverse of the photograph. The item is in fair condition with moderate spotting on the photograph surface.
