Description
A cabinet card photograph of a family home in Vernon, California, ca. 1890s. The ink inscription on the reverse identifies the house as the home of C. H. Fowler and birthplace of Wesley Royal Fowler. The home was constructed of wood with three connected parts, steep roof and two chimneys. Several people stand outside on the rough yard with a horse carriage to the left. The photograph is in poor condition with staining due to moisture damage, and surface soiling. The mount has moderate loss to the top left and bottom right as well as water marks and staining at the top right.
