Description
A cabinet photograph of a group by a Christmas tree at a house, 1897. The image shows four men and a woman seated at a round table in the center of which is a box, perhaps of candy. One man holds a deck of cards in his hand and there is paper and a pencil on the table. Three women, one with her back to the camera, and a man stand in the background. Against a wall behind the table is a Christmas tree, loaded with decorations, and standing on a table. There are some presents beneath it, as well. A pencil inscription with the year is on the reverse. With some light soiling and edge rubbing, the condition is good.
