Description
A cabinet photograph of the Simmons residence, Garden City Foto Company, Los Angeles, ca. 1900. The image is taken from the left of the Queen Anne-style, two-story residence and shows five women and a dog standing on the porch, porch steps and front walk. Some landscaping, including climbing vines on the porch are of note. Part of another house behind this one is at the far left background and there is open space to the far right. An ink inscription on the reverse identifies the home as that of Delilia Simmons. Three others are identified, as well. The photographer's stamp is also on the reverse. With heavy fading, soiling and matte tears and rubbing, the condition is fair.
