Description
A cabinet photograph of two persons in front of the Sam Reed residence, Los Angeles, ca. 1890s. The man and woman, presumably the Reeds, are in a garden with him holding a hoe and her watering with a hose, in front of a small clapboard structure with an attached shed. A tree, shrubs and other plants are in the yard, as well. On the reverse in pencil is "Sam Reed's home in Los Angeles" and another word that is not clear. With a major crease along the top not materially affecting the image, foxing, stains, soiling and rubbing, the condition is fair.
