Description
A cabinet studio photograph of Gladys and Hazel Reed, Charles U. Splane, Los Angeles, ca. 1890s. The girls, perhaps seven and four years old or so, wear similar white dresses with lace collars and have curly blong hair. They are shown in a head-and-torso pose with the photo in an unusual horizontal layout in an oval frame on a matte. The subjects' names are in ink on the reverse. With foxing, stains on the reverse, light soiling and minor edge rubbing, the condition is good overall.
