Description
A cabinet studio portrait of a man, Michael A. Wesner, ca. 1890s. The unusual format, shows the subject from the knees up and he wears a knee-length dark double-breasted coat with a high collar, a white shirt and a check-patterned tie. His right hand is held behind his back and his left rests on a pedestal. A backdrop is behind the man and Wesner's cartouche is at the bottom. With stains, soiling, fading, an abrasion at the bottom right and rubbing, the overall condition is good to fair.
