A cabinet studio portrait of a woman, Bijou Studio, Los Angeles, ca. 1890s. The view shows the subject, perhaps in her thirties, from the mid-torso up and she wears a dress made of possibly wool material, with a high collar and wide lapels featuring piping, puffed sleeves and a gathered front. The photograph has staining, soiling and rubbing, with some abrasions on the right edge of the image, and the overall condition is good.
