A cabinet studio portrait of a woman, George Steckel, Los Angeles, ca. 1890s. The view shows the woman from the mid-torso up and she wears a black stole and a large black feathered hat. Her dress with thick lace ornamentation in the front is a lighter color and she has a high collar. With some minor abrasion and light soiling, the overall condition is good.
