Description
A cabinet studio portrait of a young man, E.W. Fortune, Los Angeles, ca. 1889. The image shows the subject from the knees up and he wears a dark suit coat, vest and striped trousers and a white shirt and necktie. He holds a black hat in his right hand and stands near a pedestal in front of a backdrop. There are pencil inscriptions on the back that seem to do with reprinting, not identification. With moderate abrasions along the edges, light soiling and a stain or two on the reverse, the overall condition is good.
