Description
A cabinet studio portrait of an elderly woman, Stanton and Burdick, Los Angeles, ca. 1888. The image shows the head and shoulder of an elderly woman. The photog has a softened surrounding effect. The woman, perhaps in her later sixties or older has thinned white hair pulled back and wears a dark dress with velvet collar and front bands. She wears a brooch at the neck and the front of the dress (or blouse) has man close-set large buttons. With minimal soiling, fading, and abrasions, the condition is good.
