Description
A cabinet studio portrait of two girls in Catholic confirmation dresses, Frank G. Schumacher, Los Angeles, ca. 1890s. The image shows one girl seated at left and the other standing at right, the two appearing to be related, probably sisters. They wear similar outfits with long lace veils surmounted with floral headpieces and long white gowns with puffed sleeves. There is a backdrop that is not clearly detailed in the background and Schumacher's cartouche is on the reverse. As trimmed with a missing piece at the upper left corner, soiling, some stains, creases and rubbing, the condition is fair.
