Description
A carte de visite portrait of a three-year old girl, Parker and Hasselman, Los Angeles, 13 January 1879. The image shows the child seated on an armchair with a patterned seat. She wears a white dress, necklace and holds or wears a patterned scarf or similar accessory at her waist. At the bottom are two inscriptions, one each in pencil and ink, giving her age and date and a reverse pencil inscription does the same, but no name is provided. The name and location of the photographers are heavily faded, but still barely legible at the bottom front. With some staining on the reverse and soiling and rubbing to the matte, the overall condition is good.
