Description
A cartes-de-visite of a young woman, studio portrait by unknown photographer, Los Angeles, ca. 1870. The woman stands next to a chair against the wall. She wears ethnic attire: a wide tunic with pants underneath and a sash across the left shoulder. Her hair is curly and teased out for height and volume. The photograph is in good condition with minor surface soiling, abrasion along edges and moderate fading.
