Description
A cartes-de-visite of Francis W. Temple (1848-1888), by Bradley and Rulofson in San Francsico, ca. 1870s. Temple was the second child of Antonia Margarita Workman (1830-1892) and F. P. F. Temple (1822-1880) and owned the Homestead from 1876 until his death in 1888. Dressed in a dark three-piece-suit with a light colored bow tie, Temple also has a moustache and goatee in this photograph view of his torso and head. The photograph is cropped in the shape of an oval and printed onto a cartes-de-visite. There are pencil inscriptions on the reverse. It is in overall good condition with minor foxing and a vertical crease along the bottom edge.
