Description
A cartes-de-visite of John Harrison Temple (1871-1922), by McCasker in Boston, ca. 1874. Temple was the fourth child of Antonia Margarita Workman (1830-1892) and F. P. F. Temple (1822-1880). Around age eighteen, Temple is shown in half length view, dressed in a dark suit with a velvet lapel trim and a bow tie. Temple also has a moustache. The item includes the photographer's name printed on the reverse with an address. Includes a pencil inscription on the reverse. With abrasions, fading, discoloration, and minor surface soiling, the object is in fair condition.
