Description

A cartes-de-visite of Lucinda Temple Sanborn, by Whipple in Boston, ca. 1870s. Sanborn was the sister of F.P.F. Temple (1822-1880). A full length view of Sanborn, she wears a dark colored dress with a full skirt and shawl wrapped around her torso. Her hair is braided against the sides of her head. She stands in a photography studio with a faux wall backdrop in the background. She appears to be middle-aged in this photograph. With foxing, discoloration, minor tearing, abrasions, creasing, surface soiling and pin holes at the bottom corners, the object is in poor condition.
