Description
A cartes-de-visite of Thornton Sanborn, presumably photographed in Boston, ca. 1870s. Sanborn was the son of Lucinda Temple Sanborn, sister of F.P.F. Temple (1822-1880). A torso view of Sanborn, he wears a vest and suit jacket with a bow tie. The image is cropped in an oval shape and printed onto a card. With minor surface soiling, foxing, heavy fading, and abrasion, the object is in fair condition.
