Description

A Christmas card from the Freeman family, Pasadena, 1926. The front has a greeting, the year and location. The inside has a four stanza poem referencing the family and the American and Scottish ancestry in a humorous way. A photograph of the family, including Robert and Margery and their three sons and two daughters, sitting at a dining table outdoors with one empty chair, is pasted down inside next to a four-stanza poem by Robert. Robert Freeman, a native of Scotland, was pastor at Pasadena Presbyterian Church from 1910 to 1939, and was president of the Occidental College Board of Trustees. Margery taught at Occidental for many years, as well. With some foxing, soiling and acid shadows, the condition is good overall.
