Description
A colored lantern slide of what is identified as the White Mountains, C. C. Pierce & Co., Los Angeles, ca. 1900s. The image shows a rock outcropping and chaparral-covered slopes in the foreground, groups of mountains in the background and a skyline tinted as if it was a sunset. A small oval paper label at the bottom left reads "White Mts." but it is unclear if these are the range in eastern California or nearer to Los Angeles. The overall condition is good.
