Description
A colored photo postcard of James Jenkins in a studio setting with oranges, Grand Post Card Studio, Los Angeles, ca. 1900s. Jenkins, wearing a dark suit and hat and white shirt and tie, holds an orange in his left hand and appears to have his left hand on an orange from a tree with a banner reading "In California," but the latter is clearly on a painted backdrop. The subject is identified from a pencil inscription on the reverse, indicating he was a tourist visiting someone. With some heavy soiling, a crease or two, and edge abrasion, the condition is fair.
