At the center is an embossed emblem of a diamond in a "C." Three gems were inset into the "C," that are now missing. The reverse shows an engraved message, "Presented / to / James Walter Stanley / Commissioner of Administration / Los Angeles Junior College / 1915." The medal was made by Allen, Los Angeles (maker's mark stamped into reverse at bottom). The medal is in good condition.
