Description
A commencement program (a) for Los Angeles High School. Los Angeles, CA., 27 June 1913.
The front cover, on the top left corner, shows that this is for the commencement of L.A.H.S. (Los Angeles High School). Under this is an hour glass set between wings. The first page, in the upper left corner, informs that this is for the summer '13 class. The commencement was held at the Temple Auditorium on Friday 27 June 1913 at 8 p.m. Under this is a male face playing a pan flute with a garland of fruits and flowers on either side. The next two pages contain the order of essays and solos to be performed. The remaining pages contain the names of graduating students. There is yellowing and staning for this object, but otherwise in good condition. There were three documents (b-d) found inside this program, all regarding Edith Mary Turner (Rooda). One (b) is from 1917 and is a receipt from State Normal School in Bellingham, Washington. Two (c-d) are from 1943 and are receipts from Central Washington College of Education in Ellensburg, Washington. When looking through the program, a May Turner was found. Not sure if these documents belonged to her.
