Description
A commercial building in Compton, California, ca. 1920s. The view is from across the street and takes in the front elevation of tile-roofed structure, which had at least two tenants. At the left was the T. E. Whitby hardware store and, to the right, was the insurance office of Albert James and William Zinn. Three automobiles are parked at the curb in front of the structure. There are some incidental pencil markings on the reverse and dark areas of exposure on the print, which otherwise has minor stains, soiling and abrasions and is in good overall condition.
