Description
A contract between an unknown party and F.B. Hackett regarding the purchase of two Kwis Tract lots and the sale of a Wasco property. 6 February 1918. Although the author/unknown party's signature is not present, text below the signature line refers to him as the Sales Manager for Edwin G. Hart. The contract states that Mr. Hackett has agreed to purchase lots 3 and 5 of the Kwis Tract, which total about 20 acres of property, on the following two conditions: firstly, he must receive one-fourth of the barley crop that is currently growing on the land via a lease agreement; and secondly, the parties purchasing the Wasco property from Mr. Hackett must complete their purchase. The author has also agreed to return Mr. Hackett's deposit of $200 if the deal falls through. Handwritten text is present near the center of the document, but it is difficult to discern. With creases, holes, minor foxing, minor tears, and minor acid burns, the object is in good condition overall.
