Description

A copy of a letter from Perry Worden in Pasadena, California to Emil Knoch in La Verne, California, 8 March 1922. In the typewritten letter (a), Worden explains that a check for $15 from Walter P. Temple has been enclosed as a first payment for an L.A. Star negative, which was meant to be used in the Temple family history book. According to the text, Knoch alleged that he may have had a bad transaction with Thomas Workman Temple I and his partner sometime in the past. Worden responds by defending Thomas' memory, but nevertheless states that he will bring the claim to Walter's attention. Worden closes by asking for Knoch to send the enclosed receipt to Walter. With minor discoloration, the object is in good condition overall. The envelope for the letter (b) is addressed to Walter P. Temple in Alhambra, California. With minor foxing, a moderate tear along its top side, and minor discoloration, the object is in good to fair condition overall.
