Description
A stereoscopic photograph of the corner of Westlake Park from Hotel Alvarado, Los Angeles, 11 September 1927. The image is taken from the upper floor of the hotel catty-corner from the park and shows part of Alvarado Street, along which are several cars parked at the curb, and some of the trees and grass at the park. On the reverse is an ink inscription that reads: "A corner of Westlake Park / Los Angeles / From Ansonia Apartments Balcony / Sun Sept 11 - 1927." The image, however, was taken from the Alvarado a block east. With slight curvature, minor soiling and edge rubbing, and browning on the reverse, the overall condition is good.
