Description

A Curtiss Flier airplane at the Dominguez air meet near Los Angeles, January 1910. The view is a closeup of the craft with the pilot at the helm and two men standing next to it. In the background is a man at the rear of the plane and a crowd of spectators. Some of the rural landscape is also notable off to the left. According to an author of an upcoming book on the Dominguez meet the man behind the wheel is Lincoln Beachey with Glenn Curtiss standing next to him and Beachey's flying partner Roy Knabenshue at the right. With some soiling and edge rubbing, the condition is good.
