A manicure tool, ca. 1920s. The tool was a used to trim cuticles. The handle is yellow in color and made of French ivory celluloid. The top of the tool is made of metal with a curved edge and a sharp point. It was part of a vanity set and most likely belonged to Anita Davoust Temple or Edith Temple. Along the edge an embossed label "IVORY PYRALIN DU BARRY" The early plastic was manufactured by Dupont and made to resemble natural ivory. With some discoloration to the celluloid handle and accretions to the metal area, it is in fair to good conditon.
