Description

A cyanotype postcard "Chas. Willard in Curtiss Biplane Ready for Flight," January 1910, published by Benham Company, Los Angeles. There is an aircraft with the pilot seated at the controls and the engine and propeller behind him as the craft is parked in an open field at the Dominguez ranch where the famed air meet was held. Groups of bystanders are also in the background or behind the plane and there are buildins in the distance. The caption is at the top and an ID number at the bottom. The postally unused card has some soiling, fading, and edge abrasion, but is in good overall condition.
