Description
A cyanotype snapshot of a group of persons at a tent in Strain's Camp, San Gabriel Mountains, dated 25 July 1907. The distinctive blue-hued image shows seven women and three men, with one of the women dressed as an Indian, are outside the striped canvas tent and sit or stand near what seems to be a picnic table. There is a message on the reverse and an address to "Mr. Sherman" of Strain's Camp at Mount Wilson. The camp was on the north slope of the mountain and Sherman may have been an employee or manager of it. With minor soiling and edge abrasion, the condition is good.
