Description

A daugerreotype of three persons, ca. 1847. The trio, including a woman flanked by two young men, has been presumed either to have been the family of Agnes Workman Vickers (1792-1848), the sister of William Workman, or her, her son James and Workman's son Joseph, who resided with the Vickers family during the 1840s. The image is an embossed leather case, but there is no identification as to subjects or the photographer. With fading, silvering, and many spots to the image, and soiling, spine loss and wear to the case, the condition is fair.
