Description
A deed from F.P.F. Temple to William W. Temple, 3 January 1876. The transaction, for $5, is for a portion of a lot in the Mt. Pleasant Tract in the Boyle Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles, that subdivision having been opened the prior year. This arrangement was made about a week-and-a-half before the closure of the Temple and Workman bank and may have constituted compensation for legal work by William for his father and grandfather as the bank neared closure. With folds, creases and light soiling, the condition is good.
