A deed from Jacob Ross to Max Reinhaus, Santa Ana, California, 11 May 1878. The transaction was for two blocks, consisting of ten lots each measuring 50' x 125' in the Ross Addition to Santa Ana. Jacob Ross, Jr., namesake son of the man who bought 1,000 acres west of Main Street and north of First in Santa Ana, created the Ross Addition in 1877. This sale to Reinhaus, who owned a furniture store east at Fourth and Bush, included the land that became Reinhaus' home at 809 W. Fourth at Flower, which is no longer extant. The price paid was $750. With some soiling, creases, and edge rubbing, the condition is good overall.
