Description
A donation letter (a) and envelope (b), Community Chest of Los Angeles, 21 July 1927. A donation solicitation to a business owner to contribute to the community fund, first established in 1924, run by the Community Welfare Federation in the Chamber of Commerce Building. The slip has two parts connected with a perforated edge, meant to be torn and returned in the envelope with the subscription money. The fund was to aid in a social welfare program. The items are in good condition with creasing throughout. The perforation is fragile.
