A film location shoot still with actor Josephine Marie Workman and five others, ca. 1915. The view shows Workman, not in her Princess Mona Darkfeather Indian costume, but, instead, performing in one of a series of shorts about the explorer Henry Stanley in Africa, under the animal, while the others, including a man likely playing Stanley, and two women in blackface and two Black men and playing Africans. A lion lies on its side on a fabric covered platform. On the reverse in Workman's handwriting is, "I dress this way all through the series." With many losses, tears, severe damp staining and heavy soiling, the condition is poor.
