Description
A film location shoot still with actor Josephine Marie Workman, two other performers and an elephant, ca. 1915. The view shows Workman, not in her Princess Mona Darkfeather Indian costume, but, instead, performing in one of a series of shorts about the explorer Henry Stanley in Africa, under the animal, while the others, playing Africans, stand to the side. With many losses, tears, severe damp staining and heavy soiling, the condition is poor.
