Description
A first mortgage bond for The Los Angeles Consolidated Electric Railway Company, 16 March 1892. For $1000, the bond is for a company incorporated in Arizona, with its principal place of business in Phoenix, but its office in San Francisco and its "main operating department" in Los Angeles and is made out to John McKee and D. S. Dorn. Further terms are laid out in dense script on the large-format bond, signed by president Moses H. Sherman and secretary F.V. McDonald. The bond coupons on the second page are mostly present with some missing and extend in date until March 1922, or a thirty-year term. With folds, creases, light soiling and minor rubbing, the condition is good.
