Description
A glass negative of Angels Flight Railway, Munsey, Los Angeles, ca. 1901. The view shows the funicular on the left side of the Third Street tunnel going underneath Bunker Hill. Single family residences and what looks to be apartment building flank the track and the tunnel and a real estate sign is on the hill at the right. At the top of the hill is the tall viewing platform and tower for the railway. This appears to have been taken when the railway was new, perhaps in December 1901 or not much later. The overall condition is good.
