Description
A glass negative, "Picking Oranges, Christmas, Los Angeles," ca. 1900s. The image shows a young girl standing on a container and holding an orange and perhaps a branch of a nearby tree with more fruit. A man in a suit and bowler hat stands to the left and appears to hold a lily leaf in his right hand. The pair appear to be in the backyard of a house and there is a picket fence in the background. The title is written at the bottom. The condition appears to be good.
