Description
A grant deed from Helena Nickel to Margaret McElroy, Los Angeles, 2 March 1908. The deed is for fifteen lots of "Nickel's Loma Vista Tract" in what is now the Cypress Park neighborhood and, among the boilerplate language, is the reference that the lots not "be leased, rented, or sold to any person other than of the Caucasian or white race." Recorded on a document from Title Insurance and Trust Company, the item has folds, some staining, soiling and creases and is in good overall condition.
