Description
A group portrait of children in theatre costumes, Los Angeles, ca. 1920s. The photograph was printed by Chateau Art Studio, Los Angeles. Seven children are posed on a stage set for a play. At the center is a young boy wearing a suit with bow tie and his face painted in black face. On each side of him are three children dressed as flowers or plants. These children also have painted faces in a lighter color. The photograph includes the photographer's stamp on the reverse. There is yellowing pressure sensitive tape on the corners of the photograph, moderate warping, but it is generally in good condition.
