A group portrait of Japanese Americans in a temple, Los Angeles, 8 June 1924. A large group is gathered on the stage of a temple, with a shrine at the center. Four young girls sit at the front holding flower bouquets. In general, most of the women are to the left and most of the men are to the right. In front are several rows of wooden benches facing the stage. The lights hanging over the stage are decorated with greenery and crepe paper. A wooden box with Japanese characters is visible at the center at the foot of the stage. The photograph includes Japanese text at the bottom right. With minor fading and other discoloration, the object is in good condition overall.
