Description

A group with a horse-drawn conveyance carrying a small structure and other items, E. C. Bichowsky, San Gabriel, 1890s. The view shows a horse-drawn, flatbed vehicle carrying a small building, perhaps a shed, a bicycle, some trunks, a large wood item, and three women and a boy. A man stands on the ground next to the vehicle and there are implements in his hand and at his feet. Emmo C. Bichowsky, a native of Terre Haute, Indiana and later of Pomona, California, was a farm implements and buggy dealer and, it appears, a photographer, and the view may be of he and some of his family. The photo has spotting, soiling, creases and the mount has much rubbing, wear, soiling, stains, and creases, so the condition is fair.
